My hood: essay

In my neighborhood there is always something for me to do you can never get bored. In my neighborhood there are a lot of things for me to do, when I’m bored I either go to my friend’s house play Madden, or go to the movies. Sometimes when I want to work out my basketball skills I go outside with my friends and run a pick up game, or if I want to work out my football skills my friends and I all go play a good game of some football.

The reason why I cant never get bored in my neighborhood are because, I have a lot of friends that live by me and we all usually hang out together. When we play basketball it’s about six of us all together playing. Sometimes we play too hard and end up falling because there are a lot of people playing on one court. We only have one court because there’s only one basketball court in our condo complexes. My friends and I play so hard that we lose count so we just make up a score or go inside for a drink.

Another reason why we never get bored is because we always have little Madden tournaments on who’s the best Madden football player at my friend’s house. Even though I usually lose we still have fun and that’s what counts. We all like football and basketball because there’s a lot of excitement, like when someone gets hit hard we all get very excited. This is why my friends make me not to be bored because we basically have a lot in common not meaning like everything in common, but just far as sports and video games.

When my friends and I are bored playing video games and watching football we all just go to the movies. My favorite time when we went to the movies was when Waist Deep came out like in August, we went to Bayfair, but as soon was we got there the power was shut off so we went all the back to AMC in Emeryville to watch it. I thought we weren’t going to make it luckily we did. The funniest part when we went to the movies it was when it was only three of us all together, it was my friend Skylar, his brother Shaun, and I. That night we went to go see Borat, my friends were like “what kind of movie is this.” and I answered “ its funny blood don’t trip.” so the whole time we were watching the movie every last one of them was laughing including me. Then after the movie we went to Burger King and talked about how funny the movie was.

So basically I’m going to sum up my thoughts like this, neighborhoods are meant to be a fun and warm place. All the stuff I just wrote to you all are basically how I spend my time in my neighborhood and stay out of trouble even though I get in a little trouble.
